Live video platform Livescale raises seed funding

Montreal-based Livescale has raised $1 million from Real Ventures, Panache Ventures and Innostart.

Livescale offers a live video platform that allows its customers to broadcast events on multiple social networks and websites simultaneously. The company will use the funding to support growth in Canada, as well as optimizing its multi-cloud live video technology platform.

“After more than 3 years of research and development, we are proud to offer a platform that is reliable, robust and scalable, the current version capable of handling up to 1500 events per day” said CEO Virgile Ollivier.

“The digital marketing trend shifting towards the live video format is undeniable,” added Real Ventures partner Sylvain Carle. “It has been clear for some years now that a technology allowing companies to broadcast their content on multiple web and mobile platforms is a necessary asset.”

Livescale says it “enriches and transforms the way to broadcast live events.” By simplifying the distribution of
content on all of its client’s social networks and websites simultaneously, Livescale’s tech can allow businesses to reach, engage, and monetize their audience.

Livescale says over 500 clients use its technology to distribute their live video content on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Twitch, as well as on their website and mobile.
