Well known Montreal company Element AI has named two new C-level executives to its team this this week. This on the heels of an important restructuring that saw the company shed a considerable number of employees.
For the first time, the company will have a Chief Revenue Officer and a Chief Financial Officer. Quebec natives Stephan Rioux (CRO) and Roger Blanchette (CFO) will step into these roles respectively. As CFO, Blanchette will oversee all of Element AI’s financial activities including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. Prior to joining Element AI, Blanchette was the CFO of Skyword, a private equity backed software company that provides a marketing content management solution.
As CRO, Rioux will establish strategic alignment for all revenue-related functions, including marketing, sales, customer support, and revenue management. Prior to joining Element AI, Rioux was the Global CRO for JW Player and spent 13 years at Adobe as Vice President of North America Strategic Verticals.
Element AI has raised more than USD 257 million according to Crunchbase, including one of the largest rounds in Canadian history last September. That announcement had explained that the new funding would be used to transform the company’s commercial operations, including global product and services development, and accelerating the commercialization of AI.
